About DR. John Bearoff

DR. JOHN BEAROFF is a PA Licensed Psychologist and a PA Certified School Psychologist, and has been in practice for over 25 years. John earned his PHD in Counseling Psychology from Bryn Mawr College, a Masters Degree in Clinical Psychology from West Chester University, and a B.S. in Physics, from Ursinus College.

Dr. Bearoff has had a private clinical psychological practice since 1984, with an office in East Norriton, Montgomery County, PA (near Norristown). His practice has specialized in the areas of raising self-esteem, stress management, motivation, career counseling, psychological evaluations, grief/loss, and the use and teaching of Hypnosis and Biofeedback. He has been nominated for the International Hypnosis Hall of Fame.

John is also currently conducting Student Assistance Program (SAP) Training for Drug and Alcohol Intervention in 20 different states. He spent 24 years working in the North Penn School District, and developed North Penn’s innovative and effective Student Assistance Program, and also their Alternative Education and Suicide Prevention programs. He has received Montgomery County’s “Outstanding Service to Youth” Award.

Dr. Bearoff has also served as a school psychologist and consultant for the Colonial, Methacton, Souderton, Upper Dublin, Upper Merion, and Wissahickon school districts,and was chairperson of Upper Merion’s Safe Schools Committee.

John has been conducting workshops and seminars for schools, organizations, church, and community groups for over twenty-five years. He is a co-developer of “Adventures in Success,” experiential, action-based, teambuilding seminars for corporations such as Bell Atlantic, Prudential Insurance, SmithKline Beecham, Merck, Sharpe and Dohme, Fleming Foods, and Penn Mutual Insurance.

About DR. Arlene O’Hara

DR. ARLENE O’HARA holds both undergraduate and graduate degrees in nursing as well as psychology. Arlene specializes in counseling children and adolescents. Her primary office is in New Britain, Bucks County, PA (near Doylestown). She has worked in the public health field for over 25 years, and has earned experience through her work in hospice care, home health care, and psychiatric nursing.She is experienced in play therapy and in the special needs of adolescents. Arlene recognizes that the family is most important in a child’s life. She often does family counseling to benefit the client.

After years of working as a nurse and nursing supervisor, Arlene completed an additional Masters Degree in Counseling Psychology, and received a Doctorate Degree in Counseling Psychology from Southern Cal University. She is a member of the Energy Psychology Association and the National Counselors Association. Arlene often includes these modalities into her practice to assist clients to gain inner strength to reach their full potential. She believes that only when we are truly heard and seen can we reach our goals.

About Rebecca H. Cratin, M.A., M.S.

Rebecca H. Cratin, M.A., M.S. holds master’s degrees in Holistic Spirituality and in Counseling Psychology from Chestnut Hill College, Philadelphia, and has completed an extended unit of Clinical Pastoral Education at Jeanes Hospital in Philadelphia. She is certified in hypnotherapy by the National Guild of Hypnotists. She is a Certified Bereavement Facilitator and member of the American Academy of Bereavement, and conducts grief education workshops and bereavement support groups. She has worked as a chaplain in hospitals and long term care facilities, and is currently a volunteer chaplain in the Pine Run Retirement Community.

Her work incorporates the mind/body/spirit in a holistic approach to the healing process. The focus of her practice is helping individuals, families, and caregivers who are struggling with the complex issues of grief and loss, as well as those who are living with the overwhelming physical, emotional, and spiritual crises associated with serious and chronic illness.

Rebecca is a member of the Association for Comprehensive Energy Psychology, and has been trained in Thought Field Therapy (TFT), Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT), and Reiki, Level II. She incorporates hypnosis, guided imagery, meditation, and energy psychology into her counseling practice, when appropriate to a client’s needs. These modalities provide a way of assisting clients to access their inner, healing wisdom and strength. This holistic approach creates a healing environment in which clients receive the support, encouragement, and discernment needed to achieve growth and change.
